- On December 1st, 2007 West Village will partner with the Uptown Dallas Association (UDA) to host an evening of holiday elegance, setting the stage for our first annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event will last from 5-10 p.m. and benefit the Genesis Women’s Shelter in Dallas. A grand scale tree will be on display in the South Alley of West Village between the Magnolia Theatre and Mi Cocina near the corner of Lemmon and McKinney Avenue. Local musical talent from the likes of Booker T. Washington High School Choir, Flutes Unlimited, Evening Song Choir and Youth Strings will compliment the festivities that will entertain thousands of West Village pedestrians
